Thesis supervision is one of the few academic processes that still runs on email attachments and a shared spreadsheet. Everybody knows it is fragile; nobody has time to replace it.
Supervizo is built to replace it. This post walks through what actually changes for each person involved — because the reasons to adopt it are different for a student, a supervisor and an administrator.

For students
- A receipt for every submission. Each upload is recorded with a SHA-256 checksum, so you can prove what you handed in and when.
- A clean version history. Revisions are kept as v1, v2, v3. Submissions cannot be edited or backdated, which protects you as much as anyone.
- Deadlines that do not surprise you. SMS and email reminders arrive 7, 3 and 1 day before each milestone.
- Feedback you can find later. Reviews, ratings and marks stay attached to the submission they belong to instead of living in a mail thread.
- It is free for students.
For supervisors
- One list instead of fourteen tabs. See who has submitted, who is late and what is waiting for your review.
- Structured feedback. Threaded comments with ratings and marks, tied to milestones.
- Late work with a reason. Late submissions need a logged reason, so there is no argument about it afterwards.
- A public research profile. Every teacher gets a free, searchable portfolio page with supervised projects and publications, kept current from platform activity.
- Mobile. Approve submissions and reply to students from the companion app (Android now, iOS coming).
For administrators
- Set up in a day. Create the institution workspace and departments, approve teacher accounts and set supervision quotas — no IT team required.
- Students join by code. Teachers share a time-limited invitation code and students are in within a minute.
- A complete audit trail. Every approval, review and payment is logged and reviewable.
- A record at year-end. When the department asks for evidence, it already exists.
Security that matches the stakes
Two-factor authentication on every account, with recovery codes. Full data export and account deletion, self-service. Messaging and push alerts stay inside the platform.
Why institutions switch
The honest reason is not features, it is disputes. When a deadline, a mark or a version is questioned, a spreadsheet cannot settle it and an email thread rarely does. A system that records every action once, in order, can.
Local by design
Supervizo is built for Bangladeshi universities, colleges and research institutions, with local payment methods such as bKash and Nagad, so no international card is needed.
